Basis supplementary equipment kit consists of items needed to implement outreach immunization campaign. The equipment quantities are based on a scenario where two queues of vaccination at the same time in one site for 1000 people (administration of vaccine doses to a large population over a short period of time). The kit can be used in any mass vaccinating campaign with trained healthcare staff.
The solution has been adapted from WHO; Immunization in practices, UNICEF; Procurement guidelines and MSF Medical guidelines.

Additional information:
Furniture; Light weight foldable tables and chairs are recommended for temporary setups. These equipment should be light weight and easily transportable with limited storage capacity.
Megaphone; Megaphone is useful to address the large crowed when needed.
Cold box; Short range (With a minimum cold life of 48 hours at 43°C ambient temperature) cold box insulated with coolant packs are used to keep vaccines and diluents cold during immunization at vaccine campaign.
Vaccine carrier; Vaccine carriers are insulated containers, lined with coolant packs used to keep vaccines and diluents cold during transportation from health facilities with refrigeration to outreach immunization sites.
Marking tape; Marking tapes are used to create safety borders around designated areas within the vaccination site (yellow color or yellow and black color tapes are recommended).
Waste bin; Yellow or red color plastic bins with biohazard symbols are required to collect waste at site.
Temperature recorder; Temperature data loggers are essential for recording, monitoring and tracking temperature at mass vaccination site. There should be a separate temperature logger to monitor vaccine storage temperature at site level.
Books; Ruled CR books are required to maintain site level documentation and other registry purposes.
Pen; For documentation purpose.
Paper towels; Disposable, single use paper towels are used to dry hands after washing.
Kidney tray; Kidney trays are used to transfer vaccines and pre-filled syringes within the vaccination site when required.
Adhesive tape; Adhesive tapes may be required to repair vaccine carriers if needed.
